Our Story

The Augusta Regional S.P.C.A. was founded in 1970 by three passionate residents who aimed to provide shelter for animals in need. Over the years, the organization has grown from a small facility to a larger shelter, advocating for the humane treatment of companion animals through adoption, spay/neuter efforts, and education. The current location, established in 1986, was made possible by a successful fundraising campaign to meet the community's growing need for animal sheltering.
