Our Story

Now in its fourth decade, Atlanta Master Chorale has crafted one of America’s finest choral sounds, bringing singers and audiences to the place 'where music touches spirit'. Originally founded in 1985 as Gwinnett Festival Singers, the choir has expanded its reach beyond suburban Atlanta, drawing singers and audiences from across the metropolitan area. Under the exceptional leadership of Dr. Eric Nelson since 2000, the choir has gained national recognition, evolving into the Atlanta Master Chorale in 2013.
