Founded in 2006 by Dan Cross, a University of Florida Hall of Fame basketball player, the Athlete Connections Foundation enhances youth sports by providing programs that create well-rounded student athletes. Witnessing the struggles of athletes transitioning out of the educational system inspired this vision, focusing on character development and life skills education.
The Athlete Connections Foundation has made a significant impact by giving away over 50 laptops to graduating seniors, securing over $6,000,000 in scholarships for more than 60 high school seniors, and successfully placing over 60 high school players into college athletic programs. Additionally, over $30,000 in Christmas toys and gifts have been provided to families in need in Orlando, Florida.
