Founded in 2011 by Catholic Sisters and Molly Corbett, Asylee Women Enterprise (AWE) provides essential housing and community support to women seeking asylum in Baltimore. AWE has evolved into a secular organization, welcoming forced migrants of all genders and serving thousands of vulnerable immigrants from around the globe.
Each year, AWE's dedicated staff and volunteers deliver holistic services, distributing 60,483 pounds of food and providing individual case management to 199 survivors of human trafficking and asylum seekers. Over the years, AWE has distributed more than $144,921 in financial assistance to those in need.
