ASSOCIATION OF BLACK SOCIAL WORKERS

The organization is an authorized/licensed New York State adoption agency that facilitates the placement of children from infancy to age 17 with adoptive families. We recruit prospective adoptive families and provide adoption home studies, post-placement, post-adoption and advocacy services. Our program also educates the public regarding the need for adoptive parents for individual children, sibling groups, and special needs children and teens in the foster care system. In addition, we work with American families who wish to adopt orphaned minor relatives from other countries. Our agency also advocates to change childcare agency policies and governmental laws that make it difficult for children and teens to be adopted.
