The Association of African American Museums (AAAM) serves as the voice of the African American Museums Movement, dedicated to supporting Black museums and cultural institutions across the nation. Established in the late 1960s, AAAM has evolved to encompass a diverse range of cultural organizations, historical societies, and museums, all committed to preserving African-derived cultures.
