Our Story

The Association for the Protection of Women's and Children's Rights (APWCR) was founded in 1999 in Limbe, Cameroon, by Mr. George Abang Tawoh. Witnessing human rights abuses, including forced marriage, inspired the establishment of this vital organization. Re-domesticated in Pennsylvania in 2018, APWCR focuses on protecting and promoting the rights of vulnerable populations across 15 countries.

Our Impact

APWCR has empowered 40 women and 20 youth through small business initiatives and provided educational materials to 100 children in need. The organization has also constructed classrooms and built wells for clean water, significantly improving the quality of life in rural communities.
