The Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) was established in 1979 at a conference at Duke University, uniting 15 policy schools and research institutes. Over the years, APPAM has grown into a vibrant community of approximately 4,500 individual and student members, alongside 100 institutional members, dedicated to enhancing public policy through rigorous research and education.
