Our Story
Assistance League of Antelope Valley has a rich history that began as an extension of the Red Cross Shops during World War I. Founded by Mrs. Hancock Banning, the organization was established to provide care and assistance to those in need. Since its charter in 1959, the chapter has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, transitioning from a Day Nursery to impactful programs that support local children and families.
Today, Assistance League of Antelope Valley focuses on several key initiatives, including Operation School Bell, which provides essential products to students, and the Commonality Program, which addresses various community needs. The organization also offers scholarships through its Education Program, ensuring that local students have the resources they need to succeed.
