Our Story

ASIAN, Inc. is dedicated to strengthening Asian Americans and other minority communities in Northern California. For over 50 years, this nonprofit organization has worked tirelessly to assist in the physical, economic, and social development of these communities, helping them overcome systemic dependencies.

Impact

Since its inception, ASIAN, Inc. has made significant strides in empowering low- to moderate-income Asian Americans and other minorities. The organization has provided Pre-Purchase and Foreclosure Intervention and Prevention services to over 3,500 clients across 20 Northern California counties since 2008. With a focus on affordable housing, ASIAN, Inc. manages 403 affordable units in key neighborhoods such as Chinatown and the Mission District.

In addition, ASIAN, Inc. has assisted over 100 single-family homeowners with affordable housing rehabilitation loans and developed over 1,000 units of affordable housing in impacted areas. The organization has also played a crucial role in forming over 200 community-based trade associations and has helped more than 10,000 minority business clients secure over $1 billion in contracts.
