Promoting Intersectionality in Advocacy

Our Story

The Asian Americans with Disabilities Initiative was founded by Jennifer Lee in July 2021, inspired by her journey as a disabled Asian American woman. After her diagnosis with Crohn's disease during the COVID-19 pandemic, she recognized the urgent need to address the intersectionality of disability and Asian American identity. AADI is dedicated to uplifting disabled Asian American voices and providing essential resources to combat anti-Asian racism and ableism.

Our Impact

AADI empowers disabled Asian American youth by providing accessible resources and leadership opportunities, fostering a supportive community that amplifies their voices and addresses critical issues.
