Our Story

Over forty years ago, a tragic summer claimed the lives of 31 Asian American youth due to drug overdoses. This heartbreaking event sparked the creation of the Asian American Drug Abuse Program Inc (AADAP) in 1972, dedicated to addressing the substance abuse crisis within the Asian American community. Today, AADAP has broadened its mission to serve Asian Pacific Islanders and other underserved populations in Los Angeles, providing essential treatment and prevention services.

Impact

AADAP is committed to changing lives and saving families affected by substance abuse through a comprehensive approach that includes education, intervention, treatment, outreach, advocacy, and employment programs.
