Promoting Awareness of Diverse Donors

Our Story

The Asian American Donor Program (AADP) was founded in 1989 to address the urgent need for stem cell donors among Asian patients suffering from life-threatening diseases. After two Asian leukemia patients struggled to find matches, AADP emerged to recruit more Asian donors, driven by a mission to save lives.

Impact

Since its inception, AADP has successfully recruited thousands of Asian donors, significantly improving the chances for patients in need of stem cell transplants. Through community outreach and education, AADP has raised awareness and participation in the donor registry.
