Our Story

Founded in 1986, the Asian American Coalition for Children and Families (CACF) emerged from a collective concern among social service providers regarding the lack of support for the growing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Initially a volunteer operation, CACF became incorporated in 1992 and appointed its first executive director in 1995. Today, CACF stands as the only pan-Asian advocacy organization dedicated to uplifting AAPI children and families.

Our Impact

CACF is committed to ensuring equitable access to education, healthcare, and supportive services for AAPI families. The organization envisions a future where all New York City children and families are safe, healthy, and empowered to reach their full potential.
