Our Story

The Asian Alaskan Cultural Center was founded in 1983 to meet the cultural needs of the growing Asian communities in Anchorage. Representing diverse heritages from China, India, Japan, Korea, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand, and Nepal, AACC plays a vital role in sharing Asian cultural diversity with the greater Alaskan community. Through public cultural events and community support, AACC enhances cultural pride and fosters connections among local Asian communities.

Impact

The Asian Culture Night series directly benefits a wide audience in Anchorage, with an expected attendance of 4,000 for two performances and 600 for the Delta Junction performance, including 2,000 students from the Anchorage School District. These events provide artistic performances that deepen the understanding of Asian cultures.
