Founded in 2008, the Ashley Ridge High School Band has blossomed into one of South Carolina's premier band programs. Under the guidance of Sue Alexander, the band transformed from a small pep band into a competitive marching band with nearly 200 dedicated students, showcasing diverse ensembles including jazz and winter guard.
The Ashley Ridge High School Band has reached remarkable milestones, such as making state finals in their inaugural competition year and achieving a Superior Rating at Esprit de Corps in 2021. Even during the pandemic, the program continued to provide music instruction and engage the community through performances.
