On June 9, 2016, Ashley Doolittle became a tragic victim of teen dating violence. In March 2017, her mother established the Ashley Doolittle Foundation to honor Ashley's memory and raise awareness about this critical issue. The foundation is dedicated to educating young people and parents about the signs and prevention of dating violence.
