Our Story

The Ashland Food Project began in January 2009, initiated by a dedicated group of residents in Ashland, Oregon. This grassroots effort was designed to simplify food donations to the Ashland Community Food Bank through a door-to-door collection system. Starting with just 10 volunteers, the project has grown tremendously, delivering over 30,000 pounds of food every other month.

Impact

With a remarkable contribution of over 2 million pounds of food to local food banks, the Ashland Food Project supplies 30%–35% of the food distributed by the Ashland Community Food Bank. This initiative has made a significant difference in combating hunger in Jackson County.
