The Ashland Community Food Bank was founded in 1972 by a coalition of churches dedicated to ensuring that no one in the community goes to bed hungry. Over the decades, the need for food assistance has grown, yet the mission remains steadfast: to provide food at no cost to all those in need in Ashland and Talent, while raising awareness about food insecurity. With a dedicated facility, ACFB serves individuals and families with dignity and respect.
Since its inception, ACFB has been a lifeline for residents of Ashland, Talent, and surrounding areas. Each month, over 600 families, representing approximately 1,700 individuals, rely on the food bank for essential nourishment. Notably, 35 percent of those served are children under 18, highlighting the critical need for food assistance in the community.
