Founded in 2006, Ascend has transformed the lives of hundreds by providing free access to the breathtaking Trinity Alps Wilderness Area. With a commitment to inclusivity, Ascend offers all necessary food, gear, transportation, and training at no cost, ensuring that everyone can experience the beauty and challenges of the great outdoors.

Making a Difference in the Community

In 2024, Ascend hosted 50 days of wilderness experiences for 162 participants, including 137 youth. Volunteers and guides contributed to the stewardship of over 80 miles of trail, performing significant maintenance on 34 miles. These efforts not only enhance the natural environment but also empower participants through education and adventure.
