Our Story

Founded in 1982 by concerned citizens, the Arvada Food Bank began its journey in a small house, distributing food to hungry families. Today, thanks to the dedication of volunteers and supporters, it has evolved into Community Table, one of the largest emergency food assistance providers in the metro Denver area. Serving communities including Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, and Thornton, the organization is committed to feeding and supporting thousands of struggling families.

While providing food remains the core mission, Community Table has expanded its services to include emergency financial assistance, public benefits application support, and even health services. In 2019, the organization began offering shower services for the homeless and opened a free onsite health clinic, further enhancing its support for those in need.

Impact

Guided by the mission of Food. Help. Hope., Community Table collects, sorts, and distributes nearly 1.5 million pounds of food annually, thanks to the heart and hard work of its volunteers. Every donation helps ensure families have access to essential food and assistance.
