Our Story

Arts of Life was founded on the belief that the studio belongs to its artists. This organization provides a collective space for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership. From humble beginnings with nine artists and two staff, Arts of Life has grown to support 75 artists and 25 staff across three locations in the Chicago area.
