Our Story
Since 1956, the Arts and Design Society of Fort Walton Beach has been a cornerstone of the local arts community, fostering creativity and cultural enrichment for both adults and children along the Emerald Coast. What began as a gathering of 17 artists in a private home has blossomed into a vibrant organization with over 200 members, located in the historic Old City Hall Complex of Fort Walton Beach. ADSO is dedicated to serving all ages, offering a variety of programs that inspire and educate.
Our Impact
ADSO maintains a free art gallery open to the public five days a week, along with two studio areas, including a fully equipped pottery studio. The Lolly Carley Art Library, one of the most extensive art libraries in the area, is available for members. Monthly luncheons feature art demonstrations and lectures, while reasonably priced classes and workshops are led by regional and nationally recognized instructors. With twelve exhibitions each year, ADSO continues to celebrate and promote the arts in the community.
