Able ARTS Work

Our Story

Able ARTS Work was established in 1982 to address the inequitable treatment of autistic and developmentally disabled individuals. For too long, these capable individuals lacked equal access to educational, living, leisure, and vocational opportunities. This nonprofit organization provides inclusive services through creative arts therapies and education, including music, dance, movement, theater, and visual arts.

Impact

Since its inception, Able ARTS Work has expanded its reach, serving 150 adult clients daily across four day programs and impacting over 130,000 people through exhibitions. The organization also provides vital services to 1,500 at-risk and marginalized K-12 youth in the Los Angeles and Orange County public school systems.
