Our Story

Founded in February 2008 by artist and gallery owner Kar Woo, Artists Helping the Homeless (AHH) was established to support a Sunday night meal program for homeless individuals in the Plaza/Midtown area of Kansas City. In response to the growing number of homeless cases, AHH collaborates with local emergency and social service agencies to provide tailored services that address the root causes of homelessness.

Impact

In 2022, AHH served 1,726 unduplicated individuals, successfully housing 218 individuals through its supportive and transitional housing programs.
