Our Story
Founded in 2011 by Barbara Johnson, Art Works Now emerged from a vision to transform visual arts education. Starting with just a dozen students, the organization has blossomed into a vibrant community hub, engaging thousands of creators of all ages. For over a decade, Art Works Now has championed accessible, social justice-oriented arts education, fostering creativity across diverse backgrounds.
Impact
Each year, Art Works Now serves over 2000 students through skill-based classes and camps, while providing free classes to more than 350 Creative Aging students. Scholarships for Summer Camp are awarded to 14 deserving students, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to explore their artistic potential.
