Our Story

Arnette House, Inc. was established in 1981 in memory of Gary Arnette, who tragically lost his life to a drug overdose. His parents, Vernon and Sara Arnette, along with the community, recognized the urgent need for a safe haven for children in crisis. The original Arnette House opened its doors in 1982, starting as a modest two-bedroom facility funded entirely by local donations. Over the years, Arnette House has grown into a comprehensive support system for youth and families, now encompassing a three-building complex on 4.8 acres in Northeast Ocala, Marion County.

Our Impact

For over 42 years, Arnette House has been a beacon of hope, providing essential services to stabilize children in crisis and facilitate family reunification. The organization has successfully served countless families, ensuring that vulnerable youth have access to the support they need.
