Our Story
After Neil Armstrong's historic moon landing in 1969, Wapakoneta, Ohio became a focal point for space exploration. In response to the national interest, the Armstrong Air and Space Museum was established in 1972 to honor Neil and the U.S. Space Program. Today, the museum is operated by the Armstrong Air and Space Museum Association, dedicated to preserving this legacy.
