About Arlington Outdoor Education Association

The Arlington Outdoor Education Association (AOEA) was founded in 1967 to operate the Phoebe Hall Knipling Outdoor Laboratory, a 225-acre facility dedicated to environmental education. This unique space features hiking trails, streams, a lake, and classroom facilities, all designed to enhance the learning experience for Arlington school children.

Impact of the Outdoor Lab

Each year, the Outdoor Lab serves over 10,000 students, offering hands-on outdoor and environmental education from elementary grades through high school.
