Our Story

The Arlington Friends of the Drama, now known as AFD Theatre, was founded in 1923 and stands as one of the ten oldest continually operating community theatre groups in the United States. With a rich history of providing quality theatrical productions, AFD Theatre aims to enrich the community by presenting an annual season filled with classics, musicals, dramas, and comedies. The organization is dedicated to developing the next generation of theater artists and audiences through scholarships and youth participation initiatives.
