Empowering Latina Women Through Cycling
Promoting Physical and Mental Well-Being
Fostering Community and Diversity in Cycling

Our Story

In 2016, Olivia Barraza, a single mother of four boys, discovered the liberating power of cycling while riding the Northwest Arkansas Razorback Greenway. Feeling isolated and battling depression, Olivia found solace in the rhythm of pedaling. This transformative experience ignited a passion within her to share the joy of cycling with other women in her community.

Recognizing the lack of diversity in the cycling community, Olivia founded Latinas en Bici in 2019. This initiative aims to create a welcoming space for Latina women, fostering connection and empowerment through cycling. Starting with just 10 members, Latinas en Bici has grown to over 100 members, uniting women across Northwest Arkansas in a shared love for cycling.
