Our Story
Founded in 1967 as Arizona Civic Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company began with a vision to revitalize community theatre in Tucson. From humble beginnings in the Santa Rita Hotel ballroom, ATC has blossomed into a professional theatre company, captivating over 3 million audience members with more than 350 productions.

With over 5,000 performances of nearly 200 plays, including numerous Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winners, ATC has introduced over a quarter million young people to the magic of live theatre through its Student Matinee Program.
