Our Story

The Arika Trim Foundation was established in memory of Arika Trim, who tragically passed away just seven days after giving birth. This foundation was created by those who loved her, aiming to honor her legacy by addressing the critical issues surrounding Black Maternal Health. Through education and support, the foundation seeks to empower women and ensure they have the resources needed to advocate for their health during and after pregnancy.

Impact of Our Work

Having a doula during childbirth can significantly enhance the birthing experience. Doulas provide emotional support, reduce the need for medical interventions, and empower parents to make informed choices. By fostering a supportive environment, the Arika Trim Foundation helps ensure that every birthing person feels in control and confident during labor and delivery.
