Our Story

The Arab American Association of New York was founded in 2001 by dedicated members of the Arab-American and Arab immigrant community. Established in response to the needs of low-income, recent Arab immigrants in New York City, AAANY has evolved from a volunteer-run agency into a vital advocacy organization. In the wake of the September 11th attacks, it has addressed critical issues such as surveillance, hate crimes, and community isolation.

Impact

AAANY has significantly improved the lives of countless immigrants by providing essential services, including medical care, education, social services, and immigration support. The organization continues to expand its reach and impact through innovative programs and satellite branches, advocating for the rights and well-being of the Arab community in New York City.
