Our Story

Applied Behavioral Rehabilitation Institute, Inc. (ABRI) was founded in Connecticut in 1998 to support individuals experiencing homelessness, particularly Veterans. Since opening its first transitional living facility in 2002, ABRI has expanded its programs to serve both male and female Veterans, offering vital services such as vocational training and mental health support.

Impact

To date, ABRI/Homes for the Brave has positively impacted the lives of over 1,450 men, women, and children, primarily Veterans. The organization continues to provide essential housing, vocational training, and life skills coaching, thanks to the generosity of its partners and supporters.
