Our Story

The Applegate Partnership & Watershed Council (APWC) was founded in 1992 by a dedicated group of individuals committed to resolving environmental conflicts in the Applegate Valley. Initially focused on timber harvest issues, the organization has expanded its mission to encompass ecosystem health, community well-being, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Since becoming the Watershed Council for the Applegate Valley in 1994, APWC has successfully transformed management practices for both private and public lands, fostering ecological restoration and community engagement.

Our Impact

APWC has implemented numerous restoration projects and developed extensive water quality monitoring programs, significantly enhancing the ecological health of the Applegate watershed while increasing community awareness and participation.
