In 2007, visionary leaders from Ozark Natural Foods recognized the need to connect students with the origins of their food. This led to the creation of Apple Seeds, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to nutrition education and food access. Over the past 15 years, Apple Seeds has grown to serve the vibrant Northwest Arkansas community, impacting nearly 100,000 students through innovative programming.
Apple Seeds programs significantly increase students’ consumption of fruits and vegetables, improve their attitudes towards healthy food, and enhance their nutrition knowledge.
