Apex Community Care, formerly known as the AIDS Project of Greater Danbury, has been a beacon of hope in Western Connecticut since the mid-1980s. Founded by compassionate local residents during the AIDS crisis, this nonprofit organization has tirelessly worked to support individuals living with HIV/AIDS. With advancements in medical treatment, HIV/AIDS has become more manageable, allowing Apex to broaden its mission. Today, Apex Community Care not only focuses on HIV prevention but also provides essential services for individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges.
