Our Story

The Apalachee Federation of Jewish Charities, also known as the Tallahassee Jewish Federation, was established in the early 1980s by dedicated community members. Recognizing the need for a local organization to coordinate Jewish charitable contributions and activities, it became official in 1983. The Federation focuses on promoting tzedakah (charity) and chesed (kindness) within the Tallahassee area.

This organization supports the local Jewish community and various initiatives abroad, including emergency campaigns for Israel and Ukraine, while providing scholarships for summer camps and educational programs.
