Our Story

Founded in 2015 in Holmdel, NJ, Antinanco Earth Arts School embodies the vision of Olga Sher and her community to advocate for Earth-based traditions and indigenous wisdom. The name "Antinanco," meaning "Eagle of the Sun" in Mapuche, symbolizes a commitment to rising above challenges and fostering a deeper understanding of our connection to the Earth. The organization focuses on environmental stewardship, education, and support for indigenous communities, particularly in response to the challenges posed by COVID-19.

Our Impact

Antinanco engages children, families, and youth across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, educating them on environmental stewardship and the importance of maintaining the integrity of Northeastern ecosystems. Collaborating with Native American communities, Antinanco provides essential COVID-19 relief, health and wellness initiatives, food sovereignty, clean water access, and renewable energy solutions.
