Our Story

Annie's Hope was founded by Larry and Pia, who have dedicated their lives to helping others since childhood. Growing up with missionary parents in India and Ethiopia, they have led 48 mission trips, including a pivotal journey to Lebanon in 2019. During this trip, they discovered a pressing need for sanitary pads among Syrian and Kurdish refugee girls at the Adventist Learning Center in Beirut. Many families struggle to afford basic necessities, leading to girls missing school during their periods, which can result in dropping out and early marriages.

Impact

Each year, millions of girls worldwide miss up to 20% of their school year due to menstruation. Without access to sanitary pads, they often resort to using rags or other makeshift materials, risking infections and further isolation. By providing reusable sanitary pads, Annie's Hope helps girls stay in school, receive an education, and avoid early marriages. This initiative not only improves their quality of life but also empowers them to pursue their dreams.
