Our Story

The Anne Arundel County Food Bank was established in the 1980s to address the pressing need for food assistance in the community. Initially, residents had to travel to Baltimore for help, but since opening its doors in October 1986, the food bank has grown significantly, collecting and distributing millions of pounds of food through a network of partners.

Impact

Each month, the food bank distributes millions of pounds of food to 76 Network Partners, assisting an average of 48,000 neighbors in need, thereby alleviating food insecurity in the community.
