Our Story

The Anne Arundel County Fair was founded in 1952 by Mrs. Lee of Annapolis, inspired by her childhood experiences at fairs in Frederick County. The inaugural fair took place in 1953 at the old Labrot Race Track, drawing over 20,000 attendees. Transitioning to a non-profit membership organization in 1963, the fair moved to its current location in Crownsville in 1984, becoming a vibrant showcase for agriculture and home arts in the county.

Impact

This fair serves as a community hub, promoting education and celebration of local agriculture and home arts, while fostering connections among residents and preserving the county's agricultural heritage.
