Our Story

The Anita’s Stevens Swan Humane Society is a testament to the compassion of hundreds of individuals dedicated to the welfare of animals in Oneida County. Since the early 1900s, this organization has evolved from the efforts of two pioneers in animal welfare to a committed team focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for at-risk animals.

Impact

Every animal that enters the shelter is provided with a safe and nurturing environment until they find their lifelong home. In 2020 alone, over 2000 animals were helped, with more than 800 finding loving families.
