Our Story

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington, established in 1944 by dedicated volunteers, has become a cornerstone of the Arlington community. This open-access shelter welcomes all animals, regardless of their condition, and is committed to enhancing the lives of both animals and people through a variety of programs and services.

Impact

AWLA has placed thousands of animals into loving homes each year, achieving a remarkable 2,522 adoptions in a single year. The organization also launched the Wildlife Resource Center, providing education and emergency response for local wildlife.
