Our Story

In 1989, a group of dedicated community members in Anderson recognized the need for a more effective way to assist those in need. They envisioned a collaborative organization that would serve as a clearinghouse for resources, preventing duplication of services. On May 7, 1990, Anderson Interfaith Ministries opened its doors at 618 S. Manning Street, and since then, it has expanded to occupy seven buildings at 1202 S. Murray Avenue. This growth reflects a commitment to providing a continuum of services that address the diverse needs of the community.

Impact

Anderson Interfaith Ministries has become a beacon of hope in the Upstate, known for its "hand up, not hand out" philosophy. By fostering community partnerships, AIM has stabilized lives and transformed the community with unmatched energy and reliability.
