ANDERSON COUNTY COMMUNITY COUNCIL INCORPORATED

Fundraising to procure and preserve the rich treasures of historic Lincoln High School (1891-1970) and A. M Story High School(1953-1967). Secure historical markers for these sites.Gather preserve, display, and make available to the public photographs, artifacts,relics, books, and manuscripts related to these two historically black institutions in order to promote preservation and appreciation. Attract supporters and donors who support the vision value and importance of including the African American story in the larger context of Texas History. Increase the awareness knowledge and importance within the African American community of Anderson County Texas relative to sharing preserving and donating historical pictures documents and art artifacts connected to the history of African American in Anderson County Texas. Develop and Support fundraising activities with the goal to erect a community center within the portion of Anderson County Palestine Texas referred to as the South End.
