The Ancient Burying Ground Association is dedicated to the conservation of Hartford's oldest colonial site, established in 1640. This historic burial ground is located in the heart of downtown Hartford, Connecticut, and is managed in partnership with the City of Hartford.

Making an Impact

With a grant-funded database of over 1,000 high-resolution photographs and inscriptions, the Association has documented the rich history of those interred here, including over 500 individuals of African, African-American, and Native American heritage.
