Our Story

Motivated by the gospel message of Jesus Christ and guided by Catholic social teaching, Catholic Charities strengthens the lives of all in need. This organization affirms and supports the dignity of all human life, strengthens families, and serves the poor and most vulnerable in Washington, D.C.

Impact

Last year, Catholic Charities served over 3.7 million meals to the hungry, provided medical and dental assistance to more than 7,700 individuals, and offered over 1,100 beds each night to those in need. Annually, over 203,000 men, women, and children benefit from our programs.
