Our Story
Anchal was founded in 2010 by sisters Colleen and Maggie Clines, who harnessed their architectural backgrounds to address social and environmental challenges. Inspired by Colleen's transformative experience with an NGO in India, they initiated a project to support women in the sex trade by providing them with sewing machines, materials, and stipends. This grassroots effort blossomed into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to fostering financial independence and creativity among marginalized women.
